Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends over central parts of the Pilbara and through offshore waters
with a weak trough of low pressure over the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough extending from the Pilbara through to the southeastern Interior
is moving east ahead of a cold front and low pressure system. The trough will
move across the remainder of the Interior today ahead of a vigorous, cooler
southwest change associated with the cold front. A ridge will then become
established over southern parts of the State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 7 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and eastern Eucla. Chance of thunderstorms
over far eastern parts of the South West Land Division early morning. Showers
over southern districts, easing and contracting to the south coast during the
morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Also about the far eastern Eucla early
morning. Light showers about the southwest coast, mainly during the morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 9 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 10 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior,
northern Goldfields and northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
