Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak tropical low is currently located well offshore from the Pilbara coast
and is expected to continue moving west and slowly dissipate over the remainder
of the weekend. A trough of low pressure will remain over the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough located just inland from the west coast of the South West Land
Division will move inland on Sunday ahead of a cold front and low pressure
system. A vigorous, cooler southwest change associated with the cold front will
sweep through the southwest on Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 6 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest North Interior
and far northern Gascoyne. Showers developing over the South West District
during the morning and extending north and east to a line southwest of Lancelin
to Esperance in the evening. Slight chance of a thunderstorm across the South
West, South Coastal, Great Southern and southern Lower West Districts in the
afternoon and evening. Fresh to strong and gusty winds across the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 7 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields and eastern Eucla. Showers over southern districts
easing and contracting to the south coast during the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Light showers about the south coast, mainly
during the morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 9 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields.
