Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A tropical low located over the border of the Kimberley and the Northern
Interior is slowly moving west and weakening. This low is expected to move
offshore from the west Kimberley coast on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving south of the State with a low pressure trough
developing down the west coast. The low pressure trough will deepen and remain
near the west coast until Saturday, before morning inland on Sunday as a cold
front and low pressure system approach the southwest of the state.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 3 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, and North
Interior, tending to rain areas with possible heavy falls over the southwestern
Kimberley, adjacent northwest North Interior and far northeastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 4 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, and northern North
Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 5 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and northwest North
Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 6 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest North Interior
and northeast Gascoyne. Showers developing over the Southwest district during
the morning extending north and east to southwest of a line Lancelin to Albany
in the evening. Slight chance of a thunderstorm near the western south coast in
the afternoon and evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
