Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weakening tropical low located over land to the northeast of Broome in the
western Kimberley is moving west and is expected to move offshore on Friday and
continue moving west. A trough will remain over the Kimberley for the remainder
of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving east to the south of the State, while a trough
is located offshore to the west of the South West Land Division. The trough
will deepen and move over the west coast later on Friday, before moving further
inland on Sunday as a cold front and low pressure system approach the southwest
of the state.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 4 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and parts of the North
Interior. Isolated heavy falls possible over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 5 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Pilbara and far
northwest North Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 6 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest North Interior
and far northern Gascoyne. Showers developing over the South West District
during the morning and extending north and east to a line Lancelin to Albany in
the evening. Slight chance of a thunderstorm near the western south coast in
the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Monday 7 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne and eastern Goldfields. Showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to
Israelite Bay. Slight chance of a thunderstorm near the southwest coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
