Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A monsoon trough located over the Kimberley is expected to become more active
this weekend while another trough remains inland from the Pilbara coast. A
Tropical Low may move into the southeast Kimberley on Sunday and then move
westwards into early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Gascoyne and down the west coast. It will
deepen near the west coast on Saturday before moving inland during Sunday. A
new ridge will then develop south of the State on Monday and Tuesday pushing
the trough back offshore.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the Gascoyne, Central West, Central Wheat Belt,
Great Southern, Lower West and northern Southwest district. Heavy falls
possible over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the Gascoyne and central and western parts of the
South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Heavy falls
possible over the Kimberley . Showers near the coast and the adjacent inland
between Augusta and Esperance.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Heavy falls
possible over the southern Kimberley and eastern Pilbara.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
