Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A monsoon trough located to the east of the Kimberley is expected to become
more active this weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system is located over the northern Gascoyne. A trough will
extend southwards, near the west coast, from this low pressure system from
Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over far northeast Gascoyne and northern
half of Goldfields. Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley. Possible light
showers near the south coast between Albany and Esperance.
Forecast for Friday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over eastern and southern Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields, Central West and northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Heavy
falls possible over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Saturday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the Gascoyne, Central West, Central Wheat Belt,
Lower West and Great Southern. Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the Gascoyne, Central West, Central Wheat Belt,
Lower West, South West, Great Southern and South Coastal. Heavy falls possible
over the Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
