Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Pilbara to North Interior. A monsoon trough located
over the north Kimberley is expected to become more active this weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the Gascoyne to the South Interior. A ridge extending
over the southwest of the state is extending east along the south coast. A low
pressure system in the western Bight is expected to move away during Wednesday.
A trough will develop near the west coast of the South West Land Division from
Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
North Interior, northern parts of the South Interior and eastern Eucla.
Possible showers near the south coast. Heavy falls possible in the north of the
state.
Forecast for Thursday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over far northeast Gascoyne and far north
Goldfields. Heavy falls possible in the north of the state. Possible showers
near the south coast.
Forecast for Friday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over eastern and southern Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Central West and northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Heavy
falls possible in the north of the state.
Forecast for Saturday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the Gascoyne, western Goldfields, Central West,
Central Wheat Belt, Lower West, South West and Great Southern. Heavy falls
possible in the north of the state.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
