Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Tiffany, located near the NT/SA border, moves
southeastwards to be east of the border before weakening during the day.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building along the south coast over the next few
days. From Monday, a trough will develop near the west coast and will remain
near the west coast for several days.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 17 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, the Kimberley and inland Pilbara.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the Gascoyne, Central West, northern
Central Wheat Belt, and Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior, and
northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northwestern Pilbara, and far
northwestern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 20 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far northwestern Pilbara, and
eastern North Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
