Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Tiffany moves southeastwards over the eastern Interior
during Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building along the south coast over the next few
days. From Monday, a trough will develop near the west coast and will remain
near the west coast for several days.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 16 January
Rain and gusty thunderstorms, with heavy falls and damaging wind gusts possible
over the eastern Interior. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley
and remaining Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, far northeast Central Wheat Belt, and Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 17 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, tending to rain and thunderstorms
in the east with heavy falls possible. Showers and thunderstorms over the
Kimberley and eastern Pilbara. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
Gascoyne, Central West, northern Central Wheat Belt, and northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northwestern Pilbara, and
northwestern Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
