Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the Pilbara to the Kimberley. Ex-Tropical Cyclone
Tiffany, currently over northern Kimberley, will continue to move slowly south
tonight entering the North Interior later on Saturday and move into southwest
of the Northern Territory on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending from inland Gascoyne extends to the South Interior as a weak
cold front brushes past the south coast. A ridge of high pressure is building
along the south coast over the next few days. A new trough will develop over
inland Central West on Monday and extend south along the southwest coast by
Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 15 January
Rain and gusty thunderstorms over the central and eastern Kimberley and
adjacent North Interior, with heavy falls and damaging wind gusts possible.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southwest Kimberley, southern North
Interior, northern South Interior, eastern Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and
northern Goldfields. A slight chance of a light shower on the south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 16 January
Rain and gusty thunderstorms, with heavy falls and damaging wind gusts possible
over the southeast Kimberley and eastern Interior. Showers and gusty
thunderstorms over the remaining Kimberley and Interior. Showers and
thunderstorms over the eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, far northeast Central
Wheat Belt, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 17 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, tending to rain and thunderstorms
in the east with heavy falls possible. Showers and thunderstorms over the
Kimberley and eastern Pilbara. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
Gascoyne, Central West, northern Central Wheat Belt, northern Goldfields and
eastern Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, Eucla
east, northern and eastern Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
