Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the northern Gascoyne through the inland Pilbara
and in to the Kimberley. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Tiffany, currently just to the
southwest of Katherine continues to move west over the base of the Top End and
may move into the eastern Kimberley on Friday and Saturday before slowly moving
southwards over the Interior later in the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Gascoyne into central parts of the South West
Land Division. The trough will continue to move east Thursday as a weak cold
front brushes the western south coast. A ridge of high pressure will build
along the south coast Thursday and Friday behind the cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley tending to rain and
thunderstorms in the far northeast late evening. Showers and thunderstorms over
the adjacent North Interior, and Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 14 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, tending to rain and thunderstorms
in the northeast with heavy falls possible. Showers and thunderstorms over the
North Interior, Pilbara and adjacent northeast Gascoyne and northwest South
Interior. Possible light showers along the western south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 15 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and North Interior, tending to
rain and thunderstorms in the east with heavy falls possible. Showers and
thunderstorms over the northern South Interior, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and
northern Goldfields. Possible light shower along the western south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 16 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and North Interior, tending to
rain and thunderstorms in the southeast Kimberley and east North Interior with
heavy falls possible. Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior,
Pilbara, far east Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
