Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extending from the Pilbara to the North Interior will remain
near stationary through to the middle of the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system located over the Goldfields will move eastwards and is
expected to reach the South Australian border late Sunday night. A new low
pressure trough is expected to develop down the west coast from Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 9 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields, Interior, eastern South East Coastal district and
Eucla. Chance of light showers along the south coast between Walpole and
Esperance. Areas of raised dust possible over the Goldfields.
Forecast for Monday 10 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne,
North Interior and northern South Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 11 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, and
adjacent Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 12 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and
northeast Northern Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
