Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extending from the Pilbara to the North Interior should remain
near stationary through to Friday. On Saturday, the western half of the trough
will move southeastwards.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the State, whilst a trough deepens over
the inland Gascoyne and down the west coast. The trough should begin moving
inland from Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 6 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and
northwestern parts of the North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 7 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, and
northwestern parts of the North Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 8 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields and western parts of the South Interior. Chance of a light shower on
the south coast between Albany and Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Sunday 9 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western parts of the South Interior, South East Coastal,
and western parts of the Eucla. Showers possible over the South West and South
Coastal districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
