Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure system will remain near stationary over the northern Gascoyne
with one low pressure trough branching off to the northwest and another to the
east.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure pushes across the south of the State over the long
weekend. A trough then develops down the west coast from Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, central Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, and Goldfields (north of Kalgoorlie).

Forecast for Sunday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and
thunderstorms over the South Interior, Goldfields (north of Kalgoorlie), and
eastern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and
thunderstorms over the South Interior, northern Goldfields, northeast Central
Wheat Belt, and southeastern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and North Interior. Possible
showers and thunderstorms over the western South Interior, northern Goldfields,
Central Wheat Belt, and southeastern Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
