Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
An east-west trough extending over the Pilbara and Interior moves south on
Friday, then remains near stationary over central parts of State on the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure pushes across the south of the State from today and
over the long weekend. A trough then develops down the west coast from Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Kimberley, Interior, and Eucla.
Possible light shower along the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and northeast
Gascoyne. Possible showers and thunderstorms over the Goldfields and southern
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and
thunderstorms over the South Interior, Goldfields (north of Kalgoorlie), and
southern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and
thunderstorms over the South Interior, Goldfields (north of Kalgoorlie),
northeast Central Wheat Belt, and southern Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
