Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends over the Kimberley and inland Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies well south of the State with a deep trough offshore from the west
coast. Hot to very hot daytime temperatures away from the south coast will
continue until the trough moves inland during today. A new ridge of high
pressure will build along the south coast Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern inland Pilbara and over
the Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far east inland Pilbara and
Interior.
Forecast for Friday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior and far northeast Eucla.
Chance of light showers along the western south coast.
Forecast for Saturday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
