Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends over the Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends over the southeast of the State, while a
trough near the west coast extends into the western Gascoyne. Hot to very hot
daytime temperatures away from the south coast will continue until the trough
moves inland during Wednesday and Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest half of the Kimberley. Possible
shower or thunderstorm over the Pilbara, west Gascoyne and southwestern parts
of the South West Land Division. Very hot over southern parts away from the
south coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest half of the Kimberley. Possible
shower or thunderstorm over the Pilbara and far northwest Gascoyne. Very hot
over southern parts away from the south coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible shower or thunderstorm
just inland from the Pilbara coast east of Mardie. Very hot over southern parts
away from the south coast.

Forecast for Thursday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible shower or thunderstorm
just inland from the Pilbara coast east of Port Hedland, and northern parts of
the North Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
