Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending from the Pilbara coast to the Kimberley/North Interior
boundary will drift slowly south over the next few days. Heatwave conditions
persisting in the north will start to slowly ease mid-week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will remain near the south coast over the next few
days. A trough will develop inland from the west coast from today. The trough
will continue to deepen slowly during the week and bring warmer temperatures to
the South West Land Division.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 20 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent northeastern North
Interior and north Pilbara coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 21 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, northern and
western North Interior. Showers and thunderstorms possible over eastern
Gascoyne, western Goldfields, western South Interior and inland South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 22 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields and northeast South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior and
northeast Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
