Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland east Pilbara to the Kimberley and will remain
near stationary for the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies north of the south coast with a weak cold front
crossing over the southwest Capes and along the south coast during Saturday. A
new ridge will develop again near the south coast during Sunday with a trough
developing inland from the west coast during Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 18 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberly and eastern
Interior. Light showers southwest of a line from Yanchep to Bremer Bay and
along the south coast to Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Sunday 19 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, and northern
and eastern parts of the North Interior.
Forecast for Monday 20 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley.
Forecast for Tuesday 21 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, mainly in the north and east.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
