Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A heat trough over the inland Kimberley extends west over the Pilbara inland
from the coast. The trough will remain near stationary over the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends south of the State with a high pressure system in
the Bight. A broad trough also lies over the inland Gascoyne and South West
Land Division. A weak cold front will brush the SW Capes Tuesday morning with
the trough moving east to lie over the northeast Gascoyne and Goldfields by
Tuesday evening. A new high pressure ridge will develop south of the State
during Tuesday afternoon and evening. Another broad trough develops over
western parts of the South West Land Division on Wednesday, before deepening on
Thursday and moving into the Goldfields during the day.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Interior, extending into the
Goldfields, far eastern parts of the Southeast Coastal district and adjacent
Eucla during the day. Possible light showers over coastal parts between
Busselton and Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, Interior, northern
and western Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne and northeast Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Thursday 16 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, eastern and
southern Interior, southeast Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division. Possible light showers along the western south coast.

Forecast for Friday 17 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley. Showers southwest
of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
