Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the inland Kimberley through the Pilbara, just inland
from the coast. The Pilbara trough will deepen and extend south over the
Gascoyne and further south then move further inland during Monday and into the
Interior on Tuesday as a new ridge develops over the western Pilbara from
Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough will deepen near the west coast during Sunday with a low forming in
the trough and deepening further as it moves towards Albany during Sunday. The
low and trough will move east to lie through the Goldfields and over Cape Arid
during Monday. A ridge will then develop along the south coast later Monday and
during Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 November
Showers and thunderstorms possible through much of the South West Land
Division, though less likely in the Central West District. Thunderstorms over
the Perth hills, Wheat Belt, Great Southern and eastern South West may be
severe with heavy rainfall and damaging winds. Possible showers and storms in
the Goldfields and southern Gascoyne with the slight chance of showers through
the remainder of the Gascoyne and the western Pilbara. Remaining very hot in
the Kimberley with the chance of thunderstorms over northern parts.

Forecast for Monday 22 November
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Goldfields, eastern South West Land
Division, northeast Gascoyne, southeast Pilbara, South Interior and Eucla.
Possible showers through remaining southern parts o f the South West Land
Division, most likely about the Lower West, South West, Great Southern and
South Coastal District. Very hot through the Kimberley with possible showers
and storms in the north.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 November
Slight chance of showers over the South East Coastal district and southeastern
Goldfields, Eucla, and southern South Interior. Possible storms over the
northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 November
Showers with mainly light falls near the south coast and Eucla coast. Possible
storms over the far north Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
