Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough will push northward through the Pilbara, and by Thursday is expected
to be offshore from the Pilbara coast and extending through northern parts of
the Kimberley. A ridge will strengthen from the south and push drier air
northward through the Pilbara and Kimberley on Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A west-to-east oriented trough with an embedded low is located over central
parts of the State. This trough will contract towards the south and east later
today into Wednesday. Behind the trough a high pressure ridge will strengthen
through southern and western parts of the State, and will be firmly established
over most of WA on Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 9 November
Unseasonably heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms through the southern
Goldfields, Wheat Belt, the far southern Gascoyne, northern Lower West, and
southern Central West, easing through western parts during the day. Chance of
showers in the Eucla and South East Coastal District. Possible showers and
storms mainly eastern parts of the Interior and Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 November
Rain and possible thunderstorms contracting east through the eastern
Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Slight chance of thunderstorms in the
north and east Kimberley. Mostly cloudy over the south coastal districts with a
possible shower through the South East Coastal District.

Forecast for Thursday 11 November
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the northeast Kimberley. Light showers
possible over the south coastal districts, with mostly sunny skies through the
Goldfields, northern half of the South West Land Division, along with the
Gascoyne and Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 12 November
Cloudy at times with a shower or two possible about the south coastal
districts. Chance of a thunderstorm in the far northeast Kimberley, with dry
weather expected through the remainder of the State.
