Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley through to the Pilbara coast. The
trough is expected to contract into inland parts of the Pilbara from Sunday
evening. A ridge extends into the west Pilbara and will strengthen over the
region on Monday. A cloud band is thickening through the east Pilbara and North
Interior and will remain over the area through the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over southern and central parts of the State, and a high embedded
within the ridge will move into the Bight during today. A trough will deepen
down the west coast today then will move inland on Sunday, continuing eastward
into the Goldfields on Monday. A cold front is expected to cross the lower west
coast early Monday with a low pressure system passing by the South West during
Monday. A new ridge will then extend across the west coast from late Monday and
will strengthen across the southern part of the State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 30 October
Possible showers and thunderstorms in the east Pilbara, Kimberley, North
Interior, and northern parts of the South Interior. Temperatures tending warmer
through the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 31 October
Warmer again through the Gascoyne, Goldfields, Wheat Belt, eastern Great
Southern, and South East Coastal District. Possible showers and thunderstorms
in the east Pilbara, Kimberley, and Interior. Chance of late showers across the
South West coast.

Forecast for Monday 1 November
Possible showers over the South West Land Division, most likely through the
southwest corner. Showers and thunderstorms possible across the western half of
the state including the east Pilbara, Kimberley and Interior, down to the
Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal District. Thunderstorms may become
severe in the Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 November
Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, and Eucla.
Showers likely in the southwest corner, becoming less likely through areas
further north and east in the South West Land Division. Tending cooler in the
Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal District.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
