Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge strengthens over the southern half of State today as a trough currently
over the Kimberley deepens along the Pilbara coast and moves offshore for a
period on Saturday. On Sunday a trough deepens over the western Pilbara before
moving east during the day.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure strengthens over central and southern districts and
moves southwards today. A new high develops south of the Bight over the weekend
as a new trough deepens near the west coast on Sunday. It will then move inland
during the day and over eastern parts of the South West Land Division and
Goldfields on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 22 October
Showers over far southern and southwestern parts of the South West Land
Division. Very hot across the Kimberley with the chance of showers and
thunderstorms over the northeast part of the region.

Forecast for Saturday 23 October
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley with hot
temperatures continuing through central and western parts.

Forecast for Sunday 24 October
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley with hot
temperatures continuing through central parts.

Forecast for Monday 25 October
Showers over the South West Land Division and near the far southwestern
Gascoyne coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley and
eastern parts of the North Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
