Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Interior will deepen and move east today, while a weak trough
persists over the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the Goldfields and moves east today, while a strong cold
front approaches the west coast during the evening. The front moves over
western and southern parts of the State during Tuesday with a low pressure
system to move past the far southwest corner of the State later in the evening.
Another front brushes the southwest coast during Wednesday before a high
pressure ridge develops over southern parts of the State on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 18 October
Possible showers developing during the evening over the far western Pilbara and
adjacent Gascoyne. Possible morning drizzle over eastern parts of the Southern
Coastal district. Chance of an afternoon thunderstorm in the northern
Kimberley. Chance of morning fog over inland parts of the South West Land
Division and Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 October
Windy with showers and rain areas over most of the western and southern half of
the State. Chance of thunderstorms southwest of Kalbarri to Bremer and along
the south coast and the northern Kimberley. Moderate to heavy falls over
western districts. Areas of raised dust possible over the inland Gascoyne and
Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 20 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, Eucla
and South Interior. Chance of thunderstorms over far eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, the Eucla, South Interior and northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 21 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, mostly during the morning. Chance of
thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
