Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the central Kimberley to the Pilbara coast with a high
pressure ridge developing near the south coast. The trough will continue to
deepen over the west Pilbara through the day today before contracting into the
Interior on Saturday and Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing near the south coast as a deep low
pressure system continues moving northeast through the Bight. A trough near the
west coast today will deepen through the day today. The trough will move slowly
through the South West Land Division on Saturday and extend from the south
coast through the Goldfields to the South Interior by Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 15 October
Possible afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the Central Wheat Belt, inland
Central West, northeast Lower West district, the south and east Gascoyne and
over the far north Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 16 October
Possible shower or thunderstorm over the southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla,
South Interior, north and east Kimberley, and over the South West Land Division
away from the Central West district.

Forecast for Sunday 17 October
Possible shower or thunderstorm over the northeast Kimberley and far eastern
Interior. Chance of a light shower over southern and western coastal parts of
the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 18 October
Showers developing over western and southwestern part of the South West Land
Division and over the western Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
