Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough through extends from the southern Kimberley along the Pilbara coast.
During Monday and Tuesday the trough will deepen and move through the Pilbara
and into the Interior as a cold front crosses southern WA.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing south of the State and it will move east during today as
a trough develops near the west coast. The trough will move east during Monday
ahead of a cold front brushing the southwest corner of the State during the
day. On Tuesday a new ridge will begin to develop over southern parts of the
state as the cold front weakens over southeastern parts.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 10 October
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley and
eastern parts of the Interior. Morning frost over inland parts of the South
West Land Division and southern Goldfields.
Forecast for Monday 11 October
Showers about the South West Capes, extending to areas southwest of Jurien Bay
to Israelite Bay during the day. A chance of an afternoon or evening shower or
thunderstorm over the north and east Kimberley.
Forecast for Tuesday 12 October
Showers about the south coast. A chance of an afternoon or evening shower or
thunderstorm over the far northeast Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 October
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast. A chance of an afternoon or
evening shower or thunderstorm over the far northeast Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
