Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A deepening trough extends from the inland Pilbara and into Goldfields and will
contract northeastwards over the next few days as a ridge begins to develop
along the south coast. By Sunday the trough will extend from the southern
Kimberley along the Pilbara coast. During Monday the trough will deepen and
move through the Pilbara as a cold front crosses the southwest of WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deepening trough extends from the Gascoyne through the Goldfields and is
contracting east ahead of a weak front brushing the southwest of the state. A
ridge will develop near the south coast as the trough further deepens over the
Interior. On Sunday the deep trough over the Interior will contract east of the
state as a broad trough begins to develop near the west coast. The trough near
the west coast will deepen on Monday and move inland ahead of a stronger front
that crosses the southwest of the state during the day.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 8 October
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division,
contracting to the south coast during the afternoon. Showers developing over
the Eucla in the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 9 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and the South
Interior. Showers about the south coast and the Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 10 October
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley and
eastern parts of the North Interior. Morning frost over inland parts of the
South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 11 October
Showers about the SW Capes extending to areas southwest of Jurien Bay to
Israelite Bay during the day. A chance of an afternoon or evening shower or
thunderstorm over the northeast Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
