Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies from the inland Pilbara and into the Interior and will move
northeastwards during Thursday. A new trough will develop from the central
Pilbara and into the Gascoyne later today, before deepening and moving east
into the Interior on Friday and Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies near the south coast while a trough extends inland from the west
coast. This trough will contract east later today ahead of a weak front that
brushes the western south coast this evening. A new ridge will develop near the
south coast on Friday. On Sunday, a high pressure system moves south of the
state and a weak trough near the west coast moves inland.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 7 October
Showers developing about the South West Capes in the morning and then extending
to southwest of Perth to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and evening. Morning
frost through southern and central inland parts of the South West Land Division
and the southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 8 October
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division,
contracting to the south coast in the afternoon. Possible showers over the
Eucla in the evening. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the
far east Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 9 October
Showers about the south coast, the Eucla and South Interior. Possible showers
and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, North Interior and
northeast South Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 10 October
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley and eastern parts
of the North Interior. Morning frost over central parts of the South West Land
Division and southwest Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
