Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system lies over the southern Indian Ocean and extends a
developing ridge over western parts of the State. A trough over the southeast
of the state will slowly move north in coming days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough through the southeast parts of the State today as a weak cold front
brushes the western south coast later in the day. A ridge of high pressure
rapidly develops across southern parts during the weekend. On Monday a trough
will develop through the South Interior.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 10 September
Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Northam to Israelite Bay with
mainly light falls over inland parts. Areas of morning fog through the South
West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 11 September
Possible morning fog through inland parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers about coastal parts from Kalbarri to Eucla, with a slight chance of a
shower about the Great Southern and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 12 September
Patchy morning frost through the Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, southern
Goldfields and inland parts of the Southeast Coastal and South West districts.
Possible thunderstorms through northern Goldfields and adjacent parts of the
Gascoyne and South Interior. Isolated showers about the south coast.

Forecast for Monday 13 September
Patchy morning frost through the Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern and inland
parts of the Southeast Coastal and South West districts. Chance of a shower
about the western south coast, South East Coastal, Goldfields, Eucla and the
adjacent South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
