Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will lie near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts for the next few
days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front moved across the South West Capes early this morning and will
reach the Goldfields and Eucla later today. A second, stronger front will move
over southern parts of the State during this afternoon and Friday. A ridge will
then develop over central parts of the State in its wake with another weak cold
front to affect the far southwest of the State on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 26 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, far southwest Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields and western Eucla. The chance of thunderstorms and small hail over
far southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 27 August
Showers south of Busselton to Salmon Gums and along the Eucla coast. Possible
showers along the remaining coast south of Lancelin. The chance of a
thunderstorm and small hail near the south coast during the morning.

Forecast for Saturday 28 August
Showers south of Busselton to Katanning to Salmon Gums and along the Eucla
coast. Early frost possible over the far southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields and
Central Wheat Belt and northern Great Southern.

Forecast for Sunday 29 August
Showers southwest of Lancelin to Hopetoun and along the Esperance coast. Early
frost possible over the eastern Goldfields and southern parts of the South
Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
