Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts and will move
offshore for a period each morning before settling over inland eastern parts
later this week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the State and moves east during Tuesday
and Wednesday as a trough develops down the west coast. The trough will move
east during Wednesday ahead of a cold front that will cross over southern parts
of the State during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 23 August
Slight chance of a shower along the western south coast.
Fire Danger:
Severe Fire Danger in the Kimberly Inland fire weather district.
Forecast for Tuesday 24 August
Slight chance of a shower near the south coast. Early frost possible over
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and the
northwest Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 25 August
Showers developing over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance
of an evening thunderstorm in the eastern Great Southern and South East Coastal
Districts.
Forecast for Thursday 26 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, far southwest Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and southern South Interior. The chance of thunderstorms and
small hail over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Thunderstorms
also over the southern Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
