Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Kimberley coast through to the inland Pilbara. The
trough will deepen further during Tuesday. The fresh and gusty easterly winds
over the Kimberley will begin to ease during Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough near the west coast will move inland on Tuesday. The trough
will lie over the southeast of the State on Wednesday. A cold front will cross
the southwest of the State on Thursday. A ridge of high pressure will develop
over the Central West and Goldfields during Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 17 August
Showers developing over the South West Land Division, and the southwest
Goldfields. Thunderstorms possible over central and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division and the adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 August
Showers over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and the Eucla. Thunderstorms possible over central and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 19 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southwest
Gascoyne and the Eucla. Thunderstorms possible about coastal and adjacent parts
between Mandurah and Walpole.

Forecast for Friday 20 August
Showers over the most of the South West Land Division, south coastal Gascoyne
and the Eucla. Showers will contract to coastal parts of the South West Land
Division by the evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
