Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge is strengthening through central parts of the State. A trough will move
through the Pilbara later on Friday and during Saturday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over central parts of the state will drift south
during Thursday. The ridge will contract east on Friday ahead of a cold front
that crosses the southwest late Friday and into Saturday morning. A ridge will
develop in the wake of the front during Saturday, and then drift south of the
State on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 12 August
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Hopetoun and along the remaining south
coast east to Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Friday 13 August
Showers southwest of a line from Perth to Albany.
Forecast for Saturday 14 August
Light showers southwest of a line from Perth to Albany, extending to the
remaining South West Land Division and the southwest Goldfields for a period
during the day.
Forecast for Sunday 15 August
Light showers near the south coast. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in
the Pilbara.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
