Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies through central parts of the State. A trough is developing over
the western Pilbara and will move slowly east during Wednesday. A series of
fronts will move through the south of the State on Thursday and Friday before
another ridge develops through central parts on Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A gusty westerly flow is easing over southern parts as a weak high pressure
system develops over central parts of the State. A strong cold front moves over
southwest parts of the State on Thursday with another front on Friday. Another
ridge will begin to extend through central parts of the State on Saturday
before another front moves over the southwest of the State later in the day.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 28 July
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Bremer Bay with mainly light
falls inland. A chance of a shower over the south coast east of Esperance this
morning.

Forecast for Thursday 29 July
Showers southwest of a line from Exmouth to Kalgoorlie to Israelite Bay, with
possible thunderstorms southwest of Bunbury to Hopetoun. Squally winds possible
over the Lower West, Great Southern and the South West districts.

Forecast for Friday 30 July
Showers southwest of a line from Onslow to Forrest with thunderstorms possible
southwest of Lancelin to Hopetoun. Gusty winds and small hail possible over
southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 31 July
Showers over near coastal parts south of Geraldton, contracting to near
southern coastal parts during the afternoon. Showers over the northeast
Gascoyne, the adjacent inland Pilbara and the Interior, easing during the
afternoon.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
