Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough and associated rain band will develop over the Pilbara this morning,
before moving east into the Kimberley and North Interior on Tuesday then
weakening. A ridge of high pressure will extend over central parts of the State
on Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A pool of cold air is moving over southern parts, resulting in cold and showery
conditions today, continuing on Tuesday as a deep low pressure system develops
south of the State. A rain band will develop over the Interior and Eucla on
Monday before moving east on Tuesday. Conditions will start to ease during
Wednesday as a high pressure ridge moves over central parts of the State
slowing moving east on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 21 June
Cold and showery through the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Eucla. Thunderstorms possible near the south and west coasts,
inland across the eastern South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.
Moderate to heavy falls near the south coast between Albany and Esperance. Rain
areas developing through the Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, Interior and far SW
Kimberley, with moderate falls possible over the central and eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 June
Cold and showery conditions continuing through the South West Land Division,
southern Gascoyne, the Goldfields and the western Eucla. Thunderstorms possible
near the south and west coast, inland across the eastern South West Land
Division and southern Goldfields. Rain areas about the eastern Pilbara, North
Interior and southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 June
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, the southern
Goldfields and the Eucla, with early showers also possible near the west coast
south of Geraldton. Rain or showers over the North Interior and southwest
Kimberley, clearing during the morning. Thunderstorms possible near the south
coast east of Albany.

Forecast for Thursday 24 June
Showers along the south coast and adjacent inland areas. Thunderstorms possible
over the southeast Eucla district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
