Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the far western Pilbara, and will move slowly east on
Thursday then weaken on Friday. A weak ridge of high pressure will develop over
the south of the State over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep low pressure system will pass south of the SW Capes Thursday morning. A
trough associated with the low will move through the South West Land Division
on Thursday and into the Goldfields and Eucla during Friday and Saturday, with
a high pressure ridge developing in its wake. A cold front will approach the
southwest corner of the State late Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 10 June
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division. Damaging
winds possible over the South West district in the early morning. Showers over
the Goldfields, western Eucla, Gascoyne and the western and southern Pilbara,
with morning thunderstorms possible near the west Pilbara coast. Showers and
thunderstorms possible over the South Interior and adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 11 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, western and
central Pilbara, South Interior and Eucla. Thunderstorms possible in the north
and east South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields and
western Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 12 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, central
Pilbara, South Interior and Eucla. Thunderstorms possible in the southeast of
the State.

Forecast for Sunday 13 June
Showers along the south coast, the Eucla and adjacent Interior. Light showers
possible over the remainder of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
