Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge is strengthening over central parts of the Australia and will move east
during the week. This will result in fresh and gusty easterly winds over
northern districts on Wednesday. A trough will move over the western Pilbara
and adjacent Gascoyne during Wednesday, and then into the central Pilbara on
Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is moving through southeastern parts of the State as a
deepening low pressure system approaches the SW Capes late Wednesday. The low
pressure system will move south of the western south coast early Thursday. A
trough will lie over the northern parts of the South West Land Division and
adjacent Gascoyne and through the Goldfields and Eucla during Friday and
Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 9 June
Showers over the South West Land Division with possible thunderstorms in the
Central West and the adjacent Lower West and Central Wheat Belt districts.
Showers also through the west Pilbara, Gascoyne and western Goldfields. Heavy
falls possible about the Gascoyne and West Pilbara coasts. Very windy
conditions developing near the west coast, particularly south of Geraldton.

Forecast for Thursday 10 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne and Pilbara.
Moderate falls possible near the west Pilbara coast during the morning. Very
windy conditions over far southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 11 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, western and
central Pilbara, South Interior and Eucla. Thunderstorms possible in the north
and east South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 12 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, central
Pilbara, South Interior and Eucla. Thunderstorms possible in the southeast of
the State.
