Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge is strengthening over southern parts of the State and moves east during
the week. This will result in fresh east to southeasterly winds over northern
districts on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is strengthening over southern parts of the State and
a high pressure system will move south of the State during today and Wednesday.
A low pressure system well offshore from North West Cape will develop and move
south to southeast during the week and is likely to pass close to the SW Capes
late Wednesday or during Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 8 June
Showers over western parts of the Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northern parts
of the South West Land Division. Slight chance of thunderstorms near the
Gascoyne and far west Pilbara coasts.

Forecast for Wednesday 9 June
Showers over the South West Land Division with possible thunderstorms in the
Central West district. Showers also through the west Pilbara, Gascoyne and
western Goldfields. Heavy falls possible about the Gascoyne and West Pilbara
coasts. Very windy conditions developing near the west coast, particularly
south of Geraldton.

Forecast for Thursday 10 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne and Pilbara.
Moderate falls possible near the west Pilbara coast during the morning. Very
windy conditions possible over far southwestern parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Friday 11 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, western and
central Pilbara, South Interior and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
