Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough over the eastern Pilbara will move into the southern
Kimberley by Tuesday. A new ridge of high pressure will develop over central WA
in its wake early in the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
An intense low pressure system will move along the Esperance coast on Monday,
and then make it into the Bight by Tuesday. A new ridge of high pressure will
develop over southern WA on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 31 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms near the eastern south coast, with gusty
winds and heavy falls possible, easing during the day. Showers over remainder
of the southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the
southern Goldfields. A band of showers and possible thunderstorms extending
from the eastern Pilbara and southwest Kimberley, through the Interior and into
the Eucla. Mostly morning showers along the west coast south of Shark Bay.
Forecast for Tuesday 1 June
Showers over the southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
Goldfields and Eucla. Possible showers over the western Kimberley and parts of
the Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 2 June
Showers over the southern parts of the South West Land Division, far southern
Goldfields, and Eucla. Slight chance of a shower over the west Kimberley and
north Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 3 June
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
