Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving over eastern Australia, with east to southeast
winds easing and a weak trough developing over the western Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is approaching, and will reach the west coast later in the day.
The cold front will move through the South West Land Division during Tuesday
then weaken early Wednesday as a high pressure ridge develops in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 17 May
Showers developing southwest of a line from Geraldton to Albany, with possible
thunderstorms. Moderate falls possible near the west coast south of Perth.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms extending through areas southwest of a line
from Carnarvon to Esperance.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 May
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and the southern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 20 May
Mostly sunny throughout.
