Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strengthening ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State, with
fresh and gusty east to southeasterly winds during the morning over northern
parts. A high moves into the Bight over the weekend maintaining the morning
surges in the north.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is strengthening near the south coast as a high moves into the Bight
over the weekend. On Monday a front will reach the west coast during the
afternoon. The front will move through the South West Land Division during
Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 15 May
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts in the morning and across the Lower
West, South West, western parts of the Great Southern and South Coastal during
the day. Fresh and gusty easterly winds over northern parts in the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 16 May
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Albany. Light falls anticipated.

Forecast for Monday 17 May
Showers developing southwest of a line Geraldton to Albany, with the risk of a
thunderstorm.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 May
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm extending through most of the South
West Land Division apart from the far northern and eastern parts. Showers about
the coastal parts of the Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
