Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough and associated cloud band lies over the central Pilbara and will
weaken during Thursday. Another weak surface trough lies near the west
Kimberley coast and will remain there for the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough and associated cloud band lies over the South Interior and Eucla and
will weaken during Thursday. Another trough will move across the west coast on
Thursday and a ridge will develop over the south of the State during Friday and
Saturday. A weak front will brush the south coast later on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 6 May
Showers across the South West Land Division and adjacent Gascoyne and
Goldfields, with thunderstorms possible southwest of a line from Geraldton to
Bremer Bay. Showers and thunderstorms over the central Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, South Interior and eastern Eucla.
Forecast for Friday 7 May
Showers across most of the Southwest Land Division, easing from the west during
the day. Morning thunderstorms possible in the north, with thunderstorms also
possible in the far southeast. Showers and thunderstorms over the Goldfields,
Eucla and South Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 8 May
Showers near the south coast. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South
Interior and eastern Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 9 May
Showers near the south coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
