Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the coastal parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley. The
trough will deepen further through the western Pilbara during Monday and
Tuesday before contracting east on Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad ridge lies near the south coast. The ridge will strengthen today as a
trough develops through central parts of the South West Land Division. The
trough will deepen further off the west coast on Monday and Tuesday as the
ridge contracts to the southeast.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 2 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms extending through areas southwest of a line
from Bunbury to Hopetoun. Moderate falls possible near the coast between
Augusta and Albany. Chance of showers in the west Pilbara, northern and eastern
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and SW Interior, with thunderstorms possible in
the far western Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 3 May
Showers in the west Pilbara, northern and eastern Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields, southwest Interior and the Central Wheat Belt. Chance of
thunderstorms over the inland Gascoyne, western Pilbara, northwest Goldfields
and the Central Wheat Belt. Showers near the south and Eucla coasts and
adjacent parts.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 May
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, western Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, southwest Interior and the Eucla. Chance of thunderstorms southwest
of Onslow to Esperance.

Forecast for Wednesday 5 May
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, western Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, southwest Interior and the Eucla. Chance of thunderstorms over the
western Pilbara and the northern Gascoyne.
