Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends over the Kimberley and inland eastern Pilbara on Sunday.
Tropical Cyclone Seroja will turn southeast on Sunday, towards the west coast
and make landfall most likely later Sunday or early Monday between Carnarvon
and Jurien Bay.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing to the south of the State with a high moving south of the
Bight on Sunday. The Geraldton coast and western Gascoyne is likely to be
affected by the passage of Tropical Cyclone Seroja during late Sunday and early
Monday. The remnants of the Cyclone will then move over inland southern parts
of the state during Monday. A strong ridge will develop over southern parts of
the State during Tuesday and Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 11 April
Rain areas developing southwest of a line Carnarvon to Israelite Bay with
moderate to heavy falls possible. Showers and thunderstorms with possible
damaging or destructive winds developing over the west Gascoyne coast and
Geraldton coast with heavy falls. Showers and thunderstorms over the western
Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and the southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 12 April
Rain areas southwest of a line Geraldton to Leonora to Israelite Bay with
moderate to heavy falls possible. Showers and thunderstorms over the Gascoyne,
central and western Pilbara, northern Goldfields and north and west Kimberley.
Possible damaging or destructive winds over the west and southern Gascoyne,
Central West, Central Wheat Belt, southern Goldfields and Southeast Coast
district.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 April
Shower and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, South
Interior, northern and eastern Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Showers near
coastal parts over northern and southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and South Interior. Possible showers near the
south and Eucla coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
