Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends over the northern Gascoyne and into the North Interior
which will move north over coming days. Tropical Cyclone Seroja lies well
northwest of the Pilbara coast and will continue moving southwest and then
southerly during Saturday. On Sunday it is likely to turn southeast towards the
west coast and make landfall most likely later Sunday or Monday between
Carnarvon and Jurien Bay. Tropical Cyclone Odette will move south over waters
off the North West Cape on Saturday before weakening on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough extends over the northern Gascoyne to the north Interior. A
ridge is developing to the south of the State with a high moving south of the
Bight on Sunday. The Geraldton coast and western Gascoyne is likely to be
affected by the passage of Tropical Cyclone Seroja during Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 10 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Pilbara and the northwest Gascoyne.
Light showers over remaining parts of the Gascoyne, Central West District and
Eucla coast.

Forecast for Sunday 11 April
Rain areas developing southwest of a line Geraldton to Leonora to Hopetoun.
Showers and thunderstorms with possible damaging or destructive winds
developing over the west Gascoyne coast and Geraldton coast. Showers and
thunderstorms over the central and western Pilbara and northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 12 April
Rain areas southwest of a line Geraldton to Leonora to Esperance. Showers and
thunderstorms with possible damaging or destructive winds over the west
Gascoyne and Central West district. Showers and thunderstorms over the central
and western Pilbara. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west
Kimberley,

Forecast for Tuesday 13 April
Shower and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, South
Interior, northern and eastern Gascoyne and Goldfields and the northern Eucla.
Showers near coastal parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent parts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
