Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies inland from the west Pilbara coast and extends to the
central Gascoyne and will contract northeast during Friday. Tropical Cyclone
Seroja lies well north of the Pilbara coast and will continue moving southwest
through to Saturday before taking a more southerly track and on Sunday it is
likely to turn southeast towards the west coast and make land fall most likely
later Sunday or Monday between Coral Bay and Perth. Tropical Low 23U will move
south over waters off the North West Cape on Saturday before weakening on
Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough extends through the Gascoyne to the central Interior. A new
ridge is developing to the south of the State with a high moving south of the
Bight on Sunday. The Geraldton coast and western Gascoyne is likely to be
affected by the passage of Tropical Cyclone Seroja during Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 9 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley coast, west Pilbara and
the northwest Gascoyne. Showers over southern and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and the Eucla. The chance of a
thunderstorm in the southeast Goldfields, northern Eucla and adjacent South
Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 10 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and west Kimberley, the Pilbara
and the northwest Gascoyne. Showers over remaining parts of the Gascoyne,
northern Central West District, eastern Goldfields, Eucla and the south coast
east of Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 11 April
Rain areas developing southwest of a line Geraldton to Leonora to Hopetoun.
Showers and thunderstorms with possible damaging or destructive winds
developing over the west Gascoyne coast and Geraldton coast. Showers and
thunderstorms over the central and western Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 12 April
Rain areas southwest of a line Geraldton to Leonora to Esperance. Showers and
thunderstorms with possible damaging or destructive winds over the west
Gascoyne and Central West district. Showers and thunderstorms over the central
and western Pilbara. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west
Kimberley,
