Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Kimberley to waters north of WA to the far west
Pilbara coast. A weak tropical low near the NW Kimberley coast will move into
the central Kimberley and weaken during Sunday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough near the west coast will move inland across the South West
Land Division during Sunday with a new ridge of high pressure developing near
the south coast from Monday. The ridge will continue to develop south of the
State during Tuesday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern parts of the South
Interior and eastern Eucla. Rain and thunderstorms over the North Interior.
Possible heavy falls in the Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Monday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Interior. Chance of showers
near the south coast west of Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Tuesday 23 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far east Pilbara, Interior,
Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance
of showers near the south coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 24 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior,
Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Chance of
showers near the south coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
