Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure lies over the southeast of the State whilst a
trough extends from the Kimberley to waters north of WA to the far west Pilbara
coast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
The synoptic pattern will remain stagnant over the next few days with a ridge
of high pressure to the southeast of the State, and a surface trough lingering
near the west coast.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 18 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara, and the
northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Friday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, and the northeast
Pilbara.
Forecast for Saturday 20 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley tending to rain over the Interior
and southern Kimberley. Chance of showers or thunderstorms over the eastern
Eucla and eastern parts of the South Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley tending to rain over the Interior
and southern Kimberley. Chance of showers or thunderstorms over the Eucla and
eastern parts of the South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
