Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building over southern WA while a trough extends
from the Kimberley to waters well north of WA. A weak trough will begin to
develop near the far west Pilbara coast during Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will move into the Bight as a trough develops near the
west coast. The trough will move inland from the west coast on Tuesday and
remain mostly stationary over the coming days.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, coastal Pilbara, North Interior
and northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Tuesday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and western Gascoyne. A
chance of showers or thunderstorms over western parts of the South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 17 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne far
northern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 18 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and eastern Pilbara.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
